Advice for someone who has dropped their phone in the toliet

Last April I was so excited because finally my phone contract was up! I had been counting down the days till I could get rid of my old razor. I had been researching phones that I wanted, and I happened to come across the samsung impression. I loved that it had the option of using a full keyboard, a touch full keyboard, or I could text by writing the letters. I was smitten!

Walking into the AT&T store I went right over to the phone and purchased it. It was a great feeling. The next couple weeks at school I was showing it off, and saying how great it worked. Low and behold my fate changed a Monday morning at school.

I was about to go to the bathroom when all the sudden I heard a plunk in the toliet. I closed my eyes for a moment and pretended like I didn't hear it. I opened my eyes and looked in the toliet. There, at the bottem of the toliet was my beatiful two week old samsung impression (named Rex). I jutted my hands in the toliet and scooped out the phone. A girl in the bathroom told me not to put the battery back in, so I took her advice.

I went home and researched how to fix my phone and came across several websites that told me to soak it in a bag of rice. So for the next two weeks I left my phone in the rice. It works now! But since it has water damage it's slowly breaking:(. I'm glad that the rice saved my phone for over a year now, and I learned to never put my phone in my back pocket.

Rex!

Dried flowers

You know what's a great idea? Dried flowers. People buy flowers for special ocassions, birthdays, holidays, funerals (even though I don't consider that a special ocassion), and after they're done they just throw them away. Not me. I dry my flowers. Every flower I get I dry. I have boquets, corsages, and flowers from funerals. It's a great way to save money and they still look pretty dried!

Piercings

When I turned eighteen it was a wonderful day filled with lottery tickets, purchasing my mom cigarettes (ewww), and of course piercings. I've wanted piercings for a while, but not exactly the ones I got. I wanted my nose piercied, but ever since gauging my ears my mom wouldn't allow me to. So instead I decided to get my ear pierced, that way she couldn't yell at me because technically it wasn't a "facial" piercing.

The pain wasn't that bad to be quite as bad as I thought it was going to be. Gauging my ears hurt really bad, so nothing really compared to that. What did hurt however was the after pain. My ears stayed sore, and remain sore this day. Sometimes my rook piercing even bleeds and my tragos has what's called hypertrophic scarring (which I can't get  rid of) see. I guess I learned my lesson, don't pierce things behind your mother's back.

Mornings

To put it bluntly mornings suck. That is part of the reason why school sucks. Students are forced to get up at a shocking six o' clock every morning just to go to school. What's worse is everyday after school, I babysit. It's not hard work or anything, and I really shouldn't be complaining but after seven and a half hours of school I just want to go home. Yesterday was especially crappy because I had to work. Workings not what bothered me, what bothered me was the fact that I didn't get home until 9:45. I didn't have time to shower or get anyt of my stuff for the next morning ready. Since I didn't have anything ready I struggled to put together my breakfast, get dressed, and head out the door. Mornings suck.

Spring fashion!!!

This is really dorky of me, but I'm super excited about spring fashion. Fashion has always been a hobbie of mine, or rather a lifestyle. I would say I started getting excited about fashion freshman year. I can admit I dressed a little weird back then, but I've come a long way since then.

I've always wanted to go into a career with fashion, but my mom seemed to always discourage me, so I settled on something different but fashion remaines something I am very patienant about. I love how fashion changes with seasons, and times. A lot of people don't like this because they say they have to keep up with the jones but for me clothes never get old, and if they are old they're considered vintage.

This spring I'm excited for mixed prints, bright lipstick, and of course wedges.
I love to read teenvouge and seventeen here are the links: Teen vouge, Seventeen

Weather

So lately the weathers really been bothering me. Not only are my allergies absolutely killing right now, but it's always so dark and gloomy outside. Not to mention if it snows again I am going to shoot myself. I love living in Wisconsin and all, but sometimes I wonder if moving to a place like California woudl improve my heatlh. Did you know almost 10% of Wisconsiners suffer from seasonal depression? (for more info click here). It's no wonder why during the winter everyone is so glum and gray.

My love, Lil Wayne :)

Most may not know this about me, but I absolutely love Lil Wayne. I don't mean just love, I'm pretty much obsessed. I know his birthday (November 28th), I know where he was born (Hollygrove, New Orleans) and I even know who he dated (Trina, Nivea). Although I love love love Lil Wayne, I wasn't always this obsessed, in fact I didn't even always know who he was. It wasn't until eigth grade that I discovered Lil Wayne.

My cousin Debbie, who was pretty much my best friend had moved to Tennesse. I was sad because we used to be really close, and then after she moved we had started drifiting away. We had always had the same taste in music, so I was excited for her to come back and show me her new songs. The day she came back we went to the mall and she put in a mix tape that had a Lil Wayne song on it. I was never really into rap before. I was more of the alternative music kindof person. When I heard Lil Wayn e's  voice I didn't like it at first. It was annoying, I thought and not what I was used to, but since I thought my cousin was so cool I downloaded a bunch of Lil Wayne onto my ipod. The more I listened to it, the more I liked it.

It's been four years since I heard my first Lil Wayne song and I'm still in love. Although I'm missing his promotional tour (April 1st in Chicago) I hope to see him play really soon, and hopefully by then I'll have saved up the $136.00 to pay for his concert tickets. Lil Wayne concert tickets! Lil Waynes number 1 fansite (he has many)

The adventures of black thunder and McTrickle

In life everyone has their best friend. The person they do everything with, the person they tell everything to, and the person they share everything with. I have two best friends in my life, and their names are black thunder, and McTrickle. These aren't their real names of course. Their real names are Kyle and Victor, but when we joined our club (our super awesome amazing club) named WE ROCK! we decided that it was time to get some cooler names. Now I'm not saying we weren't cool already, but the names Kyle, Victor, and Emily just weren't cutting it for us.We decided, as we were a club of nature, that our nick names had to be of nature. Each person had to earn their special name, similar to how Native American's name their childern. Victor's name was the first we thought of.

One night during the summer, Victor, Kyle, and I were camping at Castle Rock Lake. It had been a long day of swimming, playing basketball, and visisting the local flea market so we decided it was time to cook dinner. The sky had been beatiful all day; clear, sunny, and birds chirping. Then of course just when we started to cook dinner it starting drizzling. It was only raining a bit but it was enough to put our campfire out. We decided to hit up the local McDonalds, frusterated and starving. By the time we got back to our campsite, the ground and our picnick bench were soaking wet. We decided to all climb into the tent and tell scary stories.

Kyle started off by telling a story of a man with a hook on his hand that used to murder lovers who parked their car in random places and made out. I'll admit, that one was scary but not as scary as mine. I told a story about a big hairy man that was half monkey, half man that roamed around Wisconsin for years. Supposedly his name was bigfoot I told them. Once everyone got a good scare out of those stories it was time for Victors. He told a story of a boy with dark brown eyes, dark brown hair, dark colored skin, and one ear peircing. This boy went from town to town killing his ex lovers who he could not bare to see in relationships with other boys. He named the boy black thunder. As Victor's story got scarier and scarier Kyle and I couldn't stop laughing because Victor was describing himself! As Victor got annoyed that we were laughing I said "Oh, black thunder don't be so upset", and from then on the name stuck. Victor was then known as black thunder.

Kyle's nickname, McTrickle was the next nickname to fall in the club's lap. Kyle had had this crazy obsession with waterfalls for years. Waterfalls were always on his mind. In school, at home, and most of all when he was hanging out with me and Victor. One day, Kyle was telling us about Niagra Falls. He was telling us all the facts of how tall it was, how many people drowned in it, and how many people go their to gush at the beatiful waterspout. I told Kyle we should just call him McTrickle because it suited his loving of all waterfalls personality. So, McTrickle it was. Now I just needed a cool nickname for the club.

Unfortunatley my name didn't have some cool story attached to it. Black thunder, McTrickle and I were sitting in journalism one day and decided that since their names had weird connotations with rain that mine to. We decided White Lightning would be appropriate because I'm white after all and it's the only element of rain we didn't use yet.

So there you have it. The story of how the coolest club got the coolest nicknames. Ever. End of story.
